Lighting upgrade
So my corals have been looking horride and after a good conversation with Scott from unique corals (great guy), it was decided they needed more light. So after discussing and researching nano lighting options, I went with the ai nano. My decision had to do with several factors: aesthetics, dimmability, controlability, pricing, and power. It fit the best in all of those categories, so it really was a no brainer. So far I'm loving how it looks. Fingers crossed my corals love it, too! Now to dail it in for them ( being a coral noob this should be interesting).

Looking better... getting some faint pulsing from the xenia and my zoas are opening more than they ever have. Unfortunately my leather didn't make it; on thanksgiving while I was gone my leds dimmed themselves to 0 and with it hanging in by a thread, that was it's kick into thw bucket. Hopefully once my ai director gets here they will be very happy corals.

Xeia pulsing is a good sign of how good your tank chemistry is doing. At one time I had a whole tank of it was a real sight to behold.

The funny thing is until my talk with scott I thought my tank needed less light because the leather was low and the zoas were closed. I took it as they had too much. Funny thing being a noob and reading things wrong, they actually wanted more. I've always been good with water quality with doing my first tank as fowlr but the whole lighting/flow aspect is still pretty foreign to me. I'm glad there are people out there who can help . And ty reefwiser, it's nice to have reassurance and kind words when things don't always make sense lol. Love pulsing xenia!

Update
Moved a few pieces around and also wanted to show how things are doing with the new lights. Just got my director today and am loving it (it's nice not having my lights randomly dim to 0 for no reason lol). Also wanted to show my back chambers for those of you who are interested
