I'm worried about my tank please help

So here is what is going on.

About a week ago I noticed my corals looking a little angry and really it was only my chalices. The SPS look great. All the polyps are out and great color. Zoas are all open nice and big (except my red hornets have been closed the past 2-3 days) my torch looks fine and my JF jack o lantern looks great too and my space invader looks good also. Clam is nice and open and looks good

So my biggest concerns are my chalices. My Scoly has lost some color I feel like also.

This is a 29 gallon biocube and all my leaves read 0, calcium at 410.

The concern was my KH dropped to 6! so I slowly got it back up to 10. And then did a really big water change. Alittle over 50%

I use BIO ACTIF and have a Poly filter and chemi pure elite in the back.

I'm worried

Do you test alk daily? Can't have it go down to 6 and need to try and keep it steady, calcium a little low too.

What are your Mag levels?

Have you done anything new to your reef tank?

Never tested mag before. And I did yes it was always right at/around 10 but I haven't the past 2 weeks.

I've been moving into a house and doing a bunch of painting and remodeling so it's been a little neglected. The light schedule was not consistent for about 4 days. But that was 2 weeks ago.

I would test your mag first and go from there. If you have never tested it and it is real low it would help explain why your alk shifted so kuch.

How fast did you raise the alk? You should only raise it like 1 dkh per day.

I agree the alk needed to go up from 6 but if the alk is what's causing the chalices and scoly issues shouldnt his sps be the first to show signs of trouble?

It's very important to always test and know your tanks parameters, so you can adjust accordingly if needed

Gottcha, these tanks are a lot of work...lol. But honestly, 2 weeks is too long

I'm kind of shocked about the LPS thing too. In one of my old tanks I wasn't being very responsible with my testing and it ended up that my alkalinity was around 4 as well. I only noticed though because my shrimp had died. The LPS weren't thriving like crazy, but they also weren't dying or looking completely unhappy. Not knowing much about SPS, I would have guessed you would have seen it there first. Good luck with getting the parameters back. It'll take a little time, but that's the best way. If you rush it then you will probably stress things more. Hopefully some new salt will do the trick

I would do small water, more frequent water changes and test the water change water. This is what I did when my alkalinity plummeted from a bad batch of salt.

Hope it works for ya. If you get levels stable atleast you can rule it out if stuff is still dying off/looking rough..

Alright so I'm pretty positive that I got bad salt! So today I will get new salt. Probably just some reef crystal. And do small water changes
