I'm worried about my tank please help

Some LPS, especially chalices, are sensitive to low Mg levels. Alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium exist in a delicate balance. If one is outside off normal ranges, it will be difficult to maintain the others. That would explain your failure to maintain suitable alkalinity levels. I'd test your Magnesium, as suggested above, before doing anything else.

Thanks! I'm gonna study up on Mag and I am heading to the LFS today to get all new test kits and new salt

The range is1300-1500 i think that's what it says on the salifert test kit too. I keep mine at 1350

well after a long scary 4-5 days I had success!! tank is looking good now I didnt lose anything except 3 polyps of red hornets :( but compared to what it could of been I am happy.

a few of my chalices need some TLC but should be perfectly fine they just need to color up again.

thanks everyone for the help

this is why I am only on R2R now. its because everyone is very very helpful

so again thank you all!

My BIO ACTIF salt was bad all the levels were low so I bought a nice bag of reef crystals did a couple water changes to change all the water.

Things have color back! And are nice and inflated!
