In need of a light with some punch!

I know you mentioned sticking to one light, but you could save quite a bit of money by adding a second AI prime for better coverage. Moving them closer to the top of the tank will increase your par to the bottom. Something else to consider is adding more rock to bring your SPS closer to the top and keep your softies down low.

Along this same line, removing the shade and getting the light mounted optimally (10" above the water line for an 18" cube) will make a difference too. I mean, technically, the Prime should be able to grow SPS in that size tank with a better (taller) aquascape and some thoughtful placement.

Another vote for the Reefi Labs Uno Pro 2. I have run Kessil A360x’s, Orphek Atlantik, Orphek ICON, black boxes, SBReef’s, AI Prime, and recently the Reefi Uno Pro 2’s. I run 3 of them, yes 3, on a 96”x36” tank that’s 25” deep and can grown SPS on the sand. I replaced 10 A360X’s and have more par at only 70%. Granted I do have more shadowing due to fewer light sources, but adding a strip of Orphek bars along the front and back edge evened that out easily.
I still run Orphek ICON over my SPS dominant 180 because the cover wage is great, but on a mixed or small reef I love the Uno

I love my reefbreeders photons. They make a 16”.

Also I just started a nem tank and went cheap with a Smatfarm 95 watt light. I’m very pleased with it too but the colors are not as nice as the reefbreeders. But it was only $145 too.
I have a photon V2+ 24 on a 24 inch wide x 19 deep x 13 tall. After 1 inch of sand and 1 inch at the over flow it's 10 total inches of water. I have 350-375 par at the sand and I'm only 75% of the way powered up.

Love that light. Everything under it loves it also.

Same. I was running a 48 v2 over my 4’ tank and loved it. When I upgraded to my 180, I added a 24 v2 with my 48” and it does everything I need while hanging 18” above the water.

I ended up picking up the A500x and a par meter. I actually preferred the reefi uno, but I had to order through BRS, so I was limited to major brands. Thanks everyone for your input.
