Probably 14 hours it's a 160w china box. I am open to all suggestions

I will give that a try. Does the intensity of the blue "night" lights mattee?

That's the thing with nuisance algae. The jokers can survive in many different habitats in extremely poor environments. So, when these environments actually provide more than they require, they begin to explode. Post a picture of your tank, if you will please. Yeah, we want to dial everything back and see how things are going to react. This in turn will help us to see if there may actually be a water parameter probablem. Do you have a CuC?

lol sorry I guess I wasn't thinking. I have 10 hermets, a dozen nassarius snails, and a few sand sifting stars

Doesn't really matter, but more rocks makes for more filtration. You can probably keep rolling as-is if you like the minimalist approach....... I personally like 27 pieces of flare like that pretty-boy Brian over there....

Rock. Live rock helps keep your tank stable. You look good on substrate..... it's a nice looking sand whatever you have.
