Hi! My AIO SR 80 has been up and running for several years....I have two EchoTech XR15s, one EchoTech MP40, a auto top off, a Innovative Marine UV sterilizer, and I use two 11oz pouches of Chemipure Blue. I have mostly LPS and a large toadstool coral, and a variety of mushrooms and zoas. I have mostly Wrasses, a pair of yellow Wrasses, a pair of blue star leopards, a pair of Melegris Leopards, a Ornate Leopard, and a Moyers Leopard, a Melanarus Wrasse, and a Red Coris, and a few Blennies. I am maxed out with fish, and haven't added any fish in several months. My favorite corals are Acans. Here are some pictures!

Beautiful tank! Those Acanthastrea colonies are HUGE!

Thanks! It's funny yrs ago I tried Acan frags and never had luck. So I started buying small colonies, and have great luck growing those. Go figure! [emoji16]

What is your secret for growing those acans? I never can get mine to grow very well.
Hi! I feed them frozen Mysis once a week after lights out. I defrost the Mysis and use a small pipette or turkey baster, and feed each Acan head. Also I add Vitachem and Selecon to the tank once a week also. [emoji16]

Any skimmer? What’s your maintenance routine? You regularly test perimeters? Great looking set up

Thanks! Yea I use the Innovative Marine Ghost protein skimmer rated for the 60, 80, and 120. I do a 10% water change once a week. I make my own salt water and use Red Sea Coral Pro salt. My salinity is 1.025 and I always keep it steady. My calcium is 420-440 and I don't add calcium. Nitrates 10-15ppm. Ph is 8.3. Ammonia and Nitrite 0. I haven't tested for those in years. I usually just test for nitrates, pH, and calcium. Occasionally Alkalinity. I don't add any reef additives. I do add a cap or two of Vitachem to the tank once a week. I also add 5ml of phytoplankton every day. I also feed my Acans once a week frozen Mysis. My nems once a week frozen Mysis. My fish also get frozen Mysis and a few times a week fish eggs. If you have any more questions feel free to ask! Thanks again! [emoji16]

Can you tell me a bit about your experience with the Red Corris?

How does he get along with inverts and other fish?

I love him....one of my favorites....he is not agressive at all. I have had him over three years. He was only about a inch long when I got him. He will tip over coral looking for stuff in the sand....so all my corals are glued to heavy rock. Other than that he gets along with all my Wrasses. Great fish for sure....and imo one of the prettiest Wrasses....here is a up close current pic ..and one of him sleeping under the sand....

@cancun thanks for posting and sharing! I’m almost ready to get the little brother to yours - the SR60 - filled this weekend and love seeing other SR builds.

Did you swap one of the filter socks for the media caddy? If so, what media? Any other non-standard equipment? Anything you would’ve done differently from the get-go or wish you would have changed?

Hi! I love the SR tanks!!! I kept both my filter socks but put the media caddy in the chamber next to the right filter sock. I use two bags of the Chemipure Blue in the media rack. I had the Ghost protein skimmer for several years. When it went out I replaced it with the Tunze protein skimmer. It is rated for a 300 gallon, but it fits into the left chamber next to the left filter sock. I don't think I would do much differently as far as the tank goes. If you have any other questions I will be happy to answer them! Do you have any pics? Do you have any ideas about what you will put in your tank? Here is a updated picture...

@cancun where did you place your heaters? In the return pump section? In looking at my chambers, from left to right, I have them set as Filter sock -> skimmer - > return pumps -> heaters - > filter sock.

I've got some photos of the SR 60 in my build thread here: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/im-sr-60-1st-build.511360/page-2 .My goal is to finish the aquascape in the next couple of days and get it wet this weekend!

As far as livestock, I've been looking at a pair of designer clowns, a royal gramma, a diamondback or watchman goby, six line wrasse, banggai cardinal, and a purple firefish (need a lid though!) I'm not sure I can fit all those in the 60, but will see how they start acclimating.

For corals I was considering mainly an LPS tank with a few SPS up top directly under the lights.
