Has anyone dealt with Innovative marine warranty? Noticed a leak tonight on the back panel. Tanks only a few months old

I can't tell anything from that video. Does it have a piece of acrylic against the glass? Looks like it is water squeezing between layers and then dripping out the top. Change your lighting to white and take a decent video.

I can't play the videos so hard to say. You'll be well within your warranty period though, so if there's any issues contact them straight away! :)

They don't follow R2R I reckon ;)

There is a piece of acrylic on the back, I'll get a better video

Yes, if you can get a video with white light.. hard to really see what's going on. Like another post said, looks like water is being squeezed up a seam somehow!?

I just bought an EXT 100 so I don't like this at all!

Don't bother with different videos under different lights! If your new tank is leaking, contact IM immediately and take all precautions should it become worse! :)

I already submitted a claim with IM, I think its coming from where the overflow teeth are and coming out of the corner. When I get home ill take a better video.

Good! Hopefully they get back to you promptly. It's not leaking outside of the tank is it? Just dripping back inside of the tank? Trying to wrap my head around what's going on with your tank!

No leaks outside the tank

If water isn't leaving the tank, is it really a leak?

Curious to see what IM has to say, though if whatever is happening is due to a defect, I'm sure they'll take care of it.

I also didn't realize I haven't seen your build thread! Going to go check it out :) Looks like you went with the complete system, as did I!

The water could potentially run down the outside of the back glass. The IM tanks have a piece of black acrylic bonded to the back glass. It seems this issue is that water is entering between the two and being forced out the top.

There's a pretty good picture of the acrylic weir and back glass here (post #7).

you make me nervous too. I just set up a 112 EXT. just double checked seems OK still. glue or silicone? I can't view video.

Good looking tank! I checked out your build thread and you have a nice setup!

I’ve owned a lot of different IM tanks since 2013-ish. I’’ve never had to deal with any warranty issues, but in the few cases I’ve heard of someone having problems, I’ve heard they are great (especially if you have all of the paperwork, etc.).

Well IM customer service is awesome so far! They got back to me right away. They gave two options
1. Instructions how to fix it and 300 dollar credit
2. Replace the tank after I scratch void on the front and send a video of it with the serial#

I'm going with option 2, I'd never feel comfortable with it. Now I gotta get another tank or container to put all rock and corals while I switch it over
