My rodi system came in the mail today but no instructions on setup. I think I have a pretty good idea of setup. Just a few questions. The rodi is a 6 stage dual di setup maybe over kill but better to have than not. Here's the questions

Do I run water through the first four stages bypassing di for clean out of residual carbon?

Is this valve connected to the last stage before di my waste water valve? In Picture

If so do I run system with this open completely while making water?

Tds meter arrives Thursday and I will start my first 30gallons after I check tds post filters before di and then after one di. If I need I will run second di. I doubt it though my water is pretty soft. Kh is like 2 drops and gh is like 7 out of the tap.

What is the name brand and can we see it out of the box? Mine came assembled which is why I ask for both so we can help with the setup. The DI will be the last stages the water go's thru.

USA water system is who shipped it. If that line isn't waste water idk where the waste water exits system. It was all setup minus the 2nd di cartridge.

I have a BRS 5 stage, the only difference should be that you have 2 DI containers. I can take pictures of mine. I am looking at your photo and it looks like the tubing was never installed, is that correct. Do you have to install it?

I just looked at my setup and that valve is your flush valve, you flush the system every once and a while. It helps make your membranes last longer.

Looks like the RO waste line. Weird that it has a ball valve on it though, I don't think you're supposed to artificially create back pressure on those. You should flush all pre-filters (sediment/carbon etc) for around 10 mins for the first time before you let water touch the RO or DI containers.

You do, by opening the valve it allow the water to flow out the waste line more freely thus pushing more water over the membranes.

The black line in the picture is my waste line, but if I open it it allows more water to flow thru it.

That does look like a standard ball valve and not what I have though.

Your last picture is where the RO splits processed water and waste water. One will need to go to the DI and the other is waste. I presume the one with the valve would be the waste. Ignore my last comment, most waste lines have flow restrictors, so Billdg is right. I just haven't seen valves, but I guess it's much of a muchness.

That's the bit I'm unsure of sorry. I've only every used flow restrictors rated for the gallons per day rate of the unit or a smart buddie booster. You may want to consider getting a pressure gauge, that may help fine tuning the ball valve.

Ok and run it completely open while making water or do I restrict flow of waste water for more going into the di.
You restrict the flow, but mine is either open or closed. The valve on mine is different. I hate to give you wrong advice, my system is setup different than yous and I am going off of mine. I would suggest either sending an email to Water World or calling them for instructions.
