Anyone having problems finding interceptor?
I was looking into it online after hearing a few people mention they can't find it. So I went to 1-800-PetMeds and found this: "Manufacturer Update: Interceptor will not be available for approx. 3-4 months nationwide."
I thought that was odd so I google searched for Milbemycin Oxime (The active ingredient in interceptor). I found this tragic little tidbit on Wikipedia:
This is not good! Novartis was the only place that made milbemycin oxime and they stopped production!
I did a little more digging. Novartis still has Interceptor on their website (That does not mean much though). They have several other dog meds with Milbemycin Oxime in them, but these meds also have other active drugs in them.
Does anything else kill Little Red Bugs? (It dip/bath form) This does not look good for people who need to treat their whole systems.
If anyone has any info regarding this, please post!
