Bought a long tentacle plate coral and an encrusting montipora from the Aquatic cove. Reasonable prices, nice owners. Well worth the drive to county line rd.

I went there and they seem very nice and have a good setup. I hope they can do great and stay open. They seem have good knowledge of fish and corals. Plus they are across the street from me.

Yea, up in Jacksonville, NC I had 9 stores within an hour drive. I find LFS to be VERY important for beginners. So, hopefully we can get more in this area.

Been a while since I have posted anything in here so i guess I'm one of the quite ones. Thank you for your service as well. i was stationed at Ft. Bragg many years ago. Anyway you'll find a wealth of information here with a lot of knowledge. Good luck on your start up and ask away....

Thanks for the warn welcome. Everybody understands I'm not a newb to the hobby, right? Just the forum... Well over 3+ years doing reef tanks, and about 7 with marine tanks. But I'm always open to advice, that's backed by something, experience or science.

Update on my shallow reef. Got a green bubble tip anemone for my clowns. He's being a little skirmish with the light, and takes his time opening up in the morning. But once he's open, he's gorgeous, and my clowns have a jolly good time. Everything is opening up nice again, back to the way it was before leaving NC. I lost my cardinal. I think the clowns have him a run for his money, and he lost. My red ruby dragonett is doing well. I was worried he would starve, but I think enough copepods made it through the trip that the tank seeded well.
