Have you watched my cleaning videos? No worries, that is good!I should have taken pics when I cleaned it out today but I'm noticing that I'm getting a lot of growth attached to both the bottom floor plate and up the sides of the clear sides. Some is also growing up into the slot a bit.
Any thoughts? Too long between cleanings perhaps?
No, I will when I get back from vacation though. I cleaned it out right before I left and was trying like hell to clean it off the clear bits with the yellow scraper. If it was 1/2" wider it would be easy to fit my hand in.Have you watched my cleaning videos? No worries, that is good!
Use a credit card if the scraper is not wide enough. Or an old spatula or something like that. No, I will when I get back from vacation though. I think he's referring to the growth chamber, right @Jlentz? The polycarbonate won't scratch easily. You can use the toothbrush and maybe the grout brush if needed. But growth that is attached to the chamber shouldn't cause a big problem, the LEDs will penetrate that.Use a credit card if the scraper is not wide enough. Or an old spatula or something like that.
I'll try to get that done soon, I threw my back out a week ago and it's just now getting better...after a week of Advil and muscle relaxersCan you post up some pics of the support brackets and the inline flapper valve?
SUCKS!I threw my back out...
Yeah I'm just getting to the point where I can get up and stretch enough in the AM so that I don't have to sit down to put my pants on because I couldn't lift my leg up to my chest while standingSUCKS!
Been there. Many, many times over many, many years. Absolutely sucks.
fab
I'll be posting an update today, as long as that pesky "work" thing doesn't get in the way...How are the L8 units coming along?
Hey, I resemble that remark!so that I don't have to sit down to put my pants on because I couldn't lift my leg up to my chest while standing
alternating heat pads and ice pads a few times for 15 minutes each works better than meds for me, particularly if you start doing this right at the onset of a back attack. I have stopped a back attack in its tracks doing the hot-cold cycles right away.after a week of Advil and muscle relaxers
This is a phrase that I'm totally unfamiliar with...Then you'll know you're getting long in the tooth.
I spent 3 half-days evaluating a defective roof, taking picture, crouching down and getting up, burned out my legs the first 2 days then the 3rd day I was in a hurry to get done because my pallet of L8/L16 heat sinks was being delivered that day, that's what did me in.I thought that was just called aging, not throwing your back out.

wet heat worked best for me, usually it goes away within a few days but this time it knotted up something fierce. Chiropractor earlier this week helped too...alternating heat pads and ice pads a few times for 15 minutes each works better than meds for me, particularly if you start doing this right at the onset of a back attack.
