Same length/width, but much thinner at just about an inch. The mounting points can be moved actually, the slide along in a T-slot so you can position them as you please.

They draw air up, not down.

Also, many many reefers do this on purpose to cool the tank- moving air aides in evaporation, which cools the system through a process known as evaporative cooling.

Unlike other lights with similar fan designs, the air at no point goes inside the light, the fan lies in a hole that draws air up through the heatsink fins on top, which helps the heat dissipate at that point. The fans are temperature controlled and the lights stayed warm to the touch with all channels at 100% for 3 days straight.

So no salt air makes it near any components/internals, and the light has a durable aluminum case that will not corrode, so as long as you clean the fins every few months it will cool the LEDs very efficiently.

Neither actually, you would be best served with 2 32s, though any of those options will work, 2 32s will give you the most light for the lowest price.
I knew you would have a good reason and explain it so others also can understand how it works. Great looking light. When we are able to upgrade we will definitely be looking at this one. Thank you for your time and answers.

How about a 125? Should I wait for the 60 inch or would it be better to get 2 32's?

2 32s would be the best option for now, when the 60" light is out it likely won't have as much output as 2 32s. We need to work out more details like that, and leg mounts, which of course need to be sturdier to carry that much weight before we can release a light that long.

Okay thanks

I planned on getting the Photon 48" for my 120 gallon 48" x 24" x 24" should i step up and get the V2 or save the money and get V1. Not to informed on LED lighting and don't know the differences from one to the other.

It is up to you, they will both offer a similar light output. However the newer version offers more control, you can dim each color on its own, and the case is a lot thinner at about 1" thick. We will still be warrantying the original photons for 2 years.

Thank you. Look forward to seeing what these look like in the real world. Would also like to see what the remote looks like and how well it works.
Well this would be the post that I shared my new photon 24 v2, but they sent me the 48! I'd say it was a really good deal but its a foot longer than my tank! So I sent it back and I am awaiting it......... again.
