Is 4 Tangs too much for a 60g?

None but hundreds in the water especially yellow and white cheek tangs. Some jumbo orange shoulder and others.
I got home almost a couple of hours ago. Have unpacking, laundry, etc then pics will be posted as soon as tomorrow. We are pooped out as we had to be up early to get to airport.

In a 60g I would look at a Biota Swallowtail Angel. Maybe a pair of CB Mandarins. Clowns and anemones.

how many people would it take to alter the ph of that large volume ?

Well.. my volume is around 180g, I think his is around 400. If I have 2 extra people for 2 days, I'll drop .2, maybe .3. So without knowing how many people living there and left together(and was gone at least a week), I would guess between .2-.3

But to answer your question, I think 1 person will alter ph, assuming a week duration. (?)

Just kidding! But I am looking for some good suggestions on some reef safe fish for a waterbox 90.3 (60g)

Reef Safe fish is a bit of a restriction (for me at least lol) but maybe a shoal of cardinals or damselfish, if you're OK with a few missing inverts here and there, and not keeping any particularly small fish, than I'd get a longnose hawkish, also you can find species of halichores or fairy wrasse, also like others have mentioned a bristletooth tang (definitely not orange stripe and only whitetail if you're planning on upgrading) then a two spot or tomini would be good, also midas blenny.

I do have a Very experienced and reliable sitter for tank and I made pre-portioned cups for food and all he had to do was check and drop food. I had access to Apex, lights, and My home A/c unit via phone

I wouldn't. Genicanthus angels want something bigger than a 60g

Its easier to kill a fish and put it on ice than it is to keep it alive and well enough to put into a tank.

Some tangs taste pretty good once you get past the anthropomorphic view of them you develop around this hobby. I enjoy spear fishing, and when traveling different places you “do as the Romans do.” If they are eating em, they’re on the menu.

They don’t have a very fishy taste, the only downside in my eyes is the low yield of meat. I’d describe the taste as just your average saltwater fish. Nothing special but nothing bad.

Fun fact, some surgeon fish and other reef fish (like rabbit fish) are thought to have hallucinogenic effects if you eat their heads (ichthyoallyeinotoxism). Convict tangs are one of them, but they just made some kinda sleepy.

That’s true, but I suppose if OP is meaning for life, it really limits the options quite a bit.

We had a swallowtail for 13 years, it was quite happy for the start of its life in a 65g, then up to the 125, then finally moved to the big system later. It was a slow grower for us, and Biota starts you off real small it seems. Wish we had CB back in those days.
