I buy a bottle once every 2 weeks I notice my clowns and yellow coris wrasse love them but I wonder if they’re just a waste of money ? I don’t have a mandarin but I have a few lps corals that I think like eating them like my hammer ….waste of money or just a occasional treat ?

I don't think anything is a waste if you or your reef inhabitants happen to enjoy it. Now, is it possible overkill... That is left to the beholder. I love adding pods not just for my mandarins but they are an awesome part of one's clean up crew :) Best of luck

No mandarins it’s just fun to watch the fish all the sudden start going crazy over the pods especially my wrasse it’s his favorite I think

Will live brine the ones not eaten also live or do they die eventually
like mentioned, if you add them after lights out it will be more likely they live longer. my yellow coris wrasse is always hunting.

Pods can populate in a tank if given the right conditions, food & not being over predated. I believe some do better than others reproducing though. A refugium is a great place to add them to as well, they eventually find their way back to the tank :)

Ty for replies I wonder if pods can increase fish color bc I read they are extremely nutritious I’m trying to make my fish way more colorful idk if people use filters on Instagram but some peoples fish are way better looking then mine

Variety in diet is key :)

I should say when the product being fed is good obviously

What do you feed? Most fish get their coloration from what they’re fed and nutrients
Well my fish seem to hate any other then brine I try mixing it with myais n used garlic they ignore it and just eat the brine I can’t even get my blue hippo to eat any nori….they just want what they want that’s why I try and get live brine as I hear they are more nutritious…..I just bought tdo pellets from reef nutrition so maybe that can help

I'd try some good frozen such as lrs fish frenzy, rods original, limpets reef, even good frozen mysis

Tdo pellets are good as well. All may take some time being introduced to new foods. Best of luck:)

If you want to try a more cost efficient alternative you can get the arcti pods by RN and they’ll last you for a bit

Those have some added nutrients for corals so just keep an eye those levels if you aren't keeping many. Still a great fish food :)

We’ll the pellets they loved well tried idk why they didn’t list the size these are huge and they can’t eat them :/ should of just ordered the small ones from the regular website 20 bucks down the drain
