Is it me or do visitors only notice cheap, "lame" fish?

In my 240g, it is my huge green brittle star. It's probably 12-14" across and it's legs stick out of the rocks, so that grabs people's attention. The fact that I can drop a tiny piece of shrimp two feet away and it is on top of it in seconds ("with no eyes") amazes people. No love for the Blonde Naso, Purple Tang or Magnificent Foxface and occasionally a little for the Longnose Hawk.

I have a 8-10" dark maroon brittle star that does the same stuff. Kind of gross but kind of cool!

They must live, they got an emerald crab living in there some where.

For me every time is the inverts. People love the coral banded shrimp, blood shrimp, hermit crabs. And most of all the maroon serpent star.

They are interesting, but kind of creepy too. I got it for free a while ago when someone needed to sell their tank but the buyer did not want fish. His daughter told me I had to take care of "Twinkle", so I can't get rid of it now.

I agree that is cute. My brittle stars over the years haven't ever harmed anything. Hopefully that trajectory continues!
