Is It Possible To Get My Clowns To Host Something?

Just wondering if it'd be possible to get my clowns to host something and how i'd go about it, or if it's down to whether or not the clown wants to host something?

My clowns are hosting in Kryptonite Candy Canes. Much to everyone's chagrin.

They have to do it on their own. But clowns don't host. The anemone is the host. Which Clown if do you have?

I have two Ocellaris, one is a mocha storm and the other is a Gladiator, but they've always just had a corner of the tank, maybe with my new tank they'll change but who knows. Can I see a photo?

I have a clown that’s hosts one my gyre’s. The other two in the tank (with Nems) just hang out in the rock work.

Not possible, but you can prob find something to host the clowns!

My nem was in the tank for weeks and clowns had no interest. I print a picture of similar clowns in a similar nem and they hosted it immediately. Never separated since

Mine were hosted by an Aussie torch (until it rejected them), and since that they didn’t really live anywhere. After the torch died the female killed the male (maybe related, maybe not), and she has started warming up to an indo torch.
So no true hosting yet, I bought some frogs with the intent of them hosting one (nothing) and my tank can’t hold a hosting nem (only 13.5 gallons).
I wish she would pick my Xenia or a leather.

Okayyy, I mean I've had an anemone before but that just sort of wandered off behind the rocks... Do anemones pick and choose if they want a host or not?

It just depends on the clowns. Some will host coral or nems overnight, while others will host the power heads and corners.

dang, sorry for your loss. But yeah, I just saw a clown in a long polyp toadstool which made me raise this question. I"?'d love my clowns in my toadstool

It just depends on the clowns. Some will host coral or nems overnight, while others will host the power heads and corners.

Mine's deffo a corner dweller, hopefully they host something one day

Prior tank, I had one clown. It liked my frogspawn. They coexisted well.

Current tank with 2 clowns (a snowflake and a flurry). They don’t like the bta, frogspawn, octo or hammer. They like the corners of the tank for the most part. Definitely sleep up too near a corner or the overflow but wander around during the day. Never ever ever go towards the back of the tank.
