Is it safe to use copper in the DT?

I'm guilty of treating my display with Cooper and that was about a year ago. I did remove all inverts and coral prior to the Cooper but I left my rock and sand. To this day I have a mixed reef with inverts and etc and everything is doing fine, just my story, alot of others don't agree with using copper in your dt but I have yet to see any negative effects. If I'm not mistaken, ttm only works with ich, not velvet. So you have to know what you are dealing with.

That's one of the reasons I decided to use chelated copper, then Prazipro once the copper treatment period is over.
