Is my gameover shroom dying???

If you have any shrooms nearby, I suggest you move them away. Last year, when I had a Jawbreaker shipped to me, for some reason during transit, the foot got damaged and the shroom started melting as soon as I took it out from the shipping container. When I placed the Jawbreaker in my display tank, I can see slime slowly coming from the shroom. Well, I had another Jawbreaker next by and within a matter of minutes, the 2nd shroom looked like it was getting burnt.

I never tried cutting before but I notice it's sliming out of the mouth also so not sure that will help it. I fragged the small.baby off it last night and hope it will at least make it. Also I chopped my mother mystery tye dye off its rock to get it at a flatter angle to the light and flow in hopes it will make a comeback as well but I think I'm going to lose them both, this is just terrible. Both the the mouths on them are fully extended like they are starving for food but I feed my tank every night. I have been spot feeding them last couple days

I never seen mouths extended like then unless they were feeding/hungry but I suspect it's not that they are hungry but sick instead. I moved both the sick shrooms to baskets away from the rest of the corals last night, I'm sure that just stressed them out more but I think it was a last.ditch ditch effort to save them. I may even go as far as putting then in the sump in a day or 2 if no improvement. Both the large shrooms were coming off their pads so there was definitely something wrong. Now the gameover about size if a quarter and the tye dye about a silver dollar, but mouths are still fully extended so there still a problem

Does that gave a good ending wes? Did that shroom survive?

Did 15 gallon water change yest and will do another 10 gallons water change toMoro I think. Gona check my phosphate this morn cause tank been getting alot of algae on glass fast like. High phosphate never bothered my shrooms before tho, in fact they have always liked that condition. Will keep updating

Oh, and when I chopped the rock my mother tye dye was on it actually fractured in a bad way and I damaged the foot on my only other producing mother tye tye in my tank and it slimed last night for a minute as well. Hopefully I can at least save that one. Wish I woulda had a saw and that wouldn't of happened-crap. I know what Santa is gona get me this year for Christmas, lol

Through my experience, when my Tye Dye started to slime, it was on it's way to a slow death. There was nothing I could do, but watch it melt away. Here are a few pics I took during that horrifying ordeal.

My #1 suspect is this. I noticed one around the base of both the shrooms just before they befan to look ill. I eliminated them from the shroom after I noticed but I have seen them before and they were around when I lost some zoas and a fukishima shroom I used to have. I posted pics for I'd before but nobody said they thought it was harmful so I didn't trip on it but now I'm starting to wonder. When I see them I try to get them out just because

Also I checked my phosphate and it's at 0.0. I use a Hanna checker and checked it twice cause it's never been 0 before. I took my media reactor offline and gona feed twice a day to pick up the nitrates and phosphate to see if that helps save either of them. I don't have sps so it shouldn't hurt any of the other corals

This the bottom of the game over. Looks like it was attacked but it wasn't near any coral cept the other mushrooms and only have 2 fish in the tank

A reefer in The Shroom Room has a similar problem with a couple of his shrooms too. Below is a picture he took.

any update on how your mushrooms are doing? I cringed the wolf time reading this thread, hope they are well

Yea the game over made it but my tye dye didn't unfortunately. I have quite a few offspring from it tho and 2 producing mothers already so it's a bummer but at least it's lineage live on-lol. Thanks for asking :)
