My Midnight clown has been attacked and has nearly anything left for his tail. If its hard to tell his back fin is in the top right of the picture. is there anything I can go buy or do to increase his survival chance? right now he's in a small breeder net that I had.

Honestly, I would say you should probably pull him to a QT tank and watch him, there is probably something you could medicate him with to help but I don't know anything about that. I have seen clownfish that can live without their back fins, so its not entirely deadly. But I would just be prepared in case he dies.

As well as getting rid of what ever bit him - what did get him?

Jeez what got to him? I have never seen a fish so beaten up in a home or fish store tank
The other clown in my tank, I woke up this morning and he had a small bite on his tail and now he's practically been eaten

another clown that I have thats ocellaris swell

that other clown should be banished to the sump to live a life of solitude....
Maybe you can help answer this question and if not maybe ill start a different thread. Since this tank has been running I've had a total of 5 fish go missing and only found one body behind the tank. I scoured the tank for body parts but never found anything. the biggest fish that went missing was a 2" diamond goby. The clown fish I have had is now only 1.5' max maybe less. Is it even possible that he is so rogue to kill a goby, 2 blue damsel, 1 chromis, and 2 clownfish

he could have killed it, and your cleanup crew took care of the evidence

what kind of sopranos type thing you got going in the tank over there........

sorry for your loss too

Did you use an acclamation box to add him to the tank or you just put him in ?
For which fish, I haven't used and acclimation box for either though. The "killer clown" has been in the tank for 4 months and the midnight was added 3 weeks ago.

Not for the killer clown[emoji23] for the one that passed acc boxes are great can help you find out about aggression you may have before you let them in the tank itself it can also calm down aggression also by them seeing each other everyday.

Clowns normally do not like new ones after being in a tank by themselves, I learnt it the hard way too. Sorry for your loss.

I never used to believe my friend @4FordFamily but he's right, clowns are some of the most evil and aggressive fish in this hobby. Sorry for the loss

From my understanding clowns are part of the damsel family which means they’re aggressive.

Sorry for your loss

The only time I've seen a fish come back from something like that was my Gramma with fin rot. He lost pretty much his entire tail to the bacteria but when I treated it it grew back entirely (he still has a little scar though). I wish it could have gone as well for your guy too
