The only time I've seen a fish come back from something like that was my Gramma with fin rot. He lost pretty much his entire tail to the bacteria but when I treated it it grew back entirely (he still has a little scar though). I wish it could have gone as well for your guy too

An R2R member posted awhile back that he had one of his clowns, jump out of the water and bit him on his eye, while he was doing some maintenance. Yikes.

lol that sounds crazy but after my rogue clown I can kinda see that being a possibility haha but still thats wild

Just like the others have said, clowns have to be paired early or they usually wont tolerate new additions. Especially if you don't know the sex. Clowns are born gender neutral and then become male or female later. They can turn female at anytime but can never change back. The larger ones are the females and they wear the pants. If you end up with 2 females, they will fight to the death.
