IME a lack of color is due to a lack of nutrients. How many fish do you have? Have you tested your nitrate recently? I know said it normally runs around 10-15, is that where you are currently?

There are multiple reports of Mg at 1500 ppm inducing coloration in Montipora capricornis specimens. Lighting at a high intensity could cause loss of coloration as well.
