Hi,

I recently noticed my toadstool growing something at its base, I was wondering if it could be another, but i'm not totally sure how they multiply. Sorry about the photo quality.

I believe the best way to deal with them is to put some coral epoxy over where it is (trying to get any on the tissue of the coral).

Where do they come from?
Who ever gave you that coral's tank, invasive in this hobby anyways means that they can take over your tank because they can sting corals, grow faster and out compete them- not an invasive species by definition. Check out this video for some more information and some do's and don'ts of fighting aptasia.

I'll try and get rid of them before they spread

Can they sting me, or am I good to take the rock they are on out?

No they won't sting you. Taking the rock out may not stop them. Once in the tank they can spread.

Don't freak out, most of us deals with them at some point. I have some in my tank. When I see one, I use some kalk paste to cover them with the pumps off. Works most of the time.

I use gorilla glue for corals but I may try that! Thank you

Super glue can work, it's just messy at times. Be careful with it around fish and inverts as they can get glue on them.

Best of luck and your welcome.
