Is PE Frozen Mysis Shrimp good?

That's one of the main ingredients In my food mix. I use LRS herbivore, fertility, and usually a carnivore or chunky (my LFS didn't have the LRS one last time I needed so o got a different brand), I also use pe mysis, nori and selco bosst vitamins from fritz. Mix it all together once every 3 or 4 days and feed my tank 2x a day.

Just an FYI we never recommend thawing more food than can be used in a 24 hour period. 3-4 days in the fridge is a long time and proteins and lipids are definitely breaking down and the food starting to spoil. The Fertility Frenzy food is a different blend altogether since it is fine particles held together with a gelatin binder. It is designed to be fed to the tank in a 75% thawed state like a clump of oatmeal. I would think that if you are dissolving it in water it would become almost like a messy liquid and not optimal.

Hmm interesting. I have always dissolved it in a little bit of RO... never thought about it not lasting a few days in the fridge... I must be doing something right bc my corals have never looked so good and my clowns are spawning (they're 2yrs and 1 and a half years old) first time in 15 years of reef keeping that I've had this. I can only thin its bc of the food and, even though thinned out with the ro water it's getting dispersed within the water column and the coral are thriving on it... thank you. I'll start making 1 or 2 days worth at a time.

And I didn't know about the fertility frenzy being served partly thawed. I will start doing it that way as well.

Love the stuff. I buy it in sheets. I rinse in RO water and then let the fish and corals go nuts! My ricordia eat it up!
