Is Prazi Pro + Malachite Green + Copper Enough?

I live in Thailand, in a very rural area. The closest place I can get anything related to marine fish is 200 km away in Bangkok.

Since Thai isnt my first language and I cant read any of the labels it can be very hard to come by to required medicines for a proper quarantine procedure.

My main tank is 2 weeks into its cycle and I have just setup 2 quarantine tanks for me to home the first few additions for 2 months while they go through the quarantine process.

I have a bottle of Prazi Pro, Malachite Green and Copper.

Is this enough for me to treat any new fish for all the possible marine diseases they might have?

If the answer is yes, then could you suggest a dosing schedule please.

If the answer is no, then please suggest what other meds i need to search for.

I really appreciate any help, thank in advance for taking the time to reply.

Skip the copper and m-green. Use Chloroquine phosphate instead. It is easy to get, much easier on you and your fish, and FAR safer than copper. CP is very forgiving.

Op, it friends on the ailments -- that'll treat a lot of them but I'd add kanaplex, metroplex, and furan for infections and metro works well for internal parasites as well (buy focus by seachem to bind it to the food). Acriflavin isn't a bad idea either

Welcome to Reef2Reef, Tokielad!

Copper (ionic or chelated? it makes a difference...) will take care of ich and velvet, but has to be kept at therapeutic doses. Product instructions can be ... unreliable ... even when they're in English, so a test kit is recommended to ensure correct dosage. Chloroquine Phosphate can take care of the same issues, as well as help with one or two others (looking at you, Uronema!), but is only available by prescription here in the States - in Thailand, I don't know.

Prazi-Pro will take care of most fluke infestations.

I don't remember what Malachite green does, unfortunately . . .

The big hole I see in your coverage is in antibiotic treatments against bacterial infection. 4FordFamily's suggestion there is spot-on, and there's another - Nitrofuracin Green? - which can prove useful as well, depending on what's available down in Bangkok.

^^ agree with above, some antibiotics and you should be good to go and these should take care of 90+% of the diseases or infections you might face.

Chloroquine Phosphate is the active ingredient in the malaria medication known as Aralan, that should be easier for me to find. However those would come in the form of coated pills, could I just crush those up to the correct dosage for my tank?

Ok, i found a supplier for generic Chloroquin Phosphate in Thailand.

And I think I found a supplier for kanaplex, metroplex and furan. Just waiting on a reply from them and hopefully I can get stocked up on meds and then go shopping for some fish

I use the pill form since powdered form is not available here. For pill form you need to compensate for the additive material they use to bind the medication together, the pills from the website you posted are 250 mg so pure CP in these pills is 150 mg. For 500 mg its 300 mg. So dose according to pure CP content (150 mg/pill) or 1 250 mg pill/~2.5 gallons (for 60mg/gal concentration)

I wouldn't trust it as a source for CP. I contacted the company several times to get details on the CP they use and the concentration and they failed to provide me any details, also no source online indicates that. Because CP has no test kit, and ice-shield doesn't provide concentration, I wouldn't trust it as source for CP.
Pills are much safer option

Yes, ingredients as stated confirmed by Randy Holmes Farley as Chloroquine in 2015. The type of salt is nor phosphate but that is of no consequence in this case

. It's effective, proven, requires no prescription, and is safe in 2017.

@Dogtown It's never been a question of whether or not NLS Ick Shield contains Chloroquine... It does.

The question is whether the Chloroquine it contains is 99% pure or better. Which is required in order to eradicate external parasites.

Prescriptions are the path of choice for a subset of the hobbiest community, we all agree on that. With all due respect, you are claiming a 98% purity is ineffective and that claim is a stretch by anyone's measure. If you believe that then you have to provide evidence that shows a 98% purity and 2% inert formula is proven ineffective. There are no such scientific studies that I am aware of.

The OP asked for suggestions. We hobbiests need to stick together and help each other.
