Has anyone have any problems with their lights?
I have heard of Sfiligoi having many probelms (cheap chinese fans that break, wiring components being wrong, and cheap overpriced insides components) and I want to know if it true. Someone told me that they aren't good company in Italy and they have been being bought switching business because it's bad product.
Please give me feedback and if you recommend it.

I have an old XR4 with the 400 Watt mh, I love the look of it, but don't feel they are truely worth their high cost. I replaced the ballast with a galaxy because the old ballast went out and I am way happier with the galaxy. Mine is an older version, maybe they are better now, but I couldn't figure out how the metal halide ballast was configured to be 400 Watts, there was a 250 watt ballast and a 175 Watt ballast wired together. I'm not electrician but it seemed screwy to me. Just my opinion and experience.

Yes, this is what I heared. Is happening to customers even with new LEDs. I think Sfiligoi is over charging.
Thank you for being kind to give your true experience.

I have used many type of Giesemann fixtures, ATI PM, Sunlight Supply Tek lighting. IMO, SFILIGOI is the best pendant (LED and Metal Halide) compare to other brands. Good Quality and good design!

I would ask ian, heres his link to his build thread,

i believe he used a custom sfiligoi fixture and has used them in the past. Craig (soccerbag) has also used sfiligoi fixture so hopefully they can chime in.

I personally just ordered a custom made t5 fixture with aquatics elite and ive heard nothing but positive feedback for the sfiligoi fixture so i decided to get one. They are a bit on the pricey side but, for the build quality, i wanted something custom tailored to what i wanted it to do and thats what they were able to do for me .

I have a 12 bulb Stealth fixture. I wouldn't trade it for anything, I love it. I bought it second hand though and didn't pay a ton for it. When I received it two of the ballasts were out. Aquatics elite was very helpful and walked me through changing them out and I've never had an issue since.

Thank you for your response. Did you have Fan problem ever? Do you know why previous owner sell it?

It looks like you have problem with SFILOGOI! I have couple friends using their SFILIGOi pendants couple years without any problem with the fans that why I bought one. It's so silence! In the long run if I have problem with fans, I just remove couple screws to replace the new one (nothing reliable when it comes to electronic or mechanical). It's wear and tear! I think it's a normal and not a big deal.

Where did you get this?

No fan problems but the original owner could have, didn't tell me though. He didn't tell me the ballast were out either, which is why I think he sold it to me. They were really easy to fix though, so no complaints here.

I have had a Sfiligoi fixture over my tank for around 4 years. Started with a 12 bulb Stealth T5 fixture and that thing was a beast and worked beautifully until I sold it to a friend (who is using it and loves it). I sold it due to an upgrade. Upgraded to an XR6. It is just an incredible fixture. No issues at all.

I'm sure you can find at least one person who has an issue with just about every type of fixture out there (TEK, ATI, Marineland, LED stuff, Sfiligoi, etc). No lights are perfect and as long as there are wires, bulbs, and electronics, there will ALWAYS be a situation that isn't perfect. While I have not run into that, I know that if something were to go wrong, I could pick up the phone and talk to Tim @ Aquatics Elite. He would take care of any issues that came up. Can anyone tell me the number to ATI Customer Service? How about TEK?

Service after the sale is KEY when you're spending $$$$ on a fixture. Tim has spent countless hours with me helping me program my Apex correctly for my light. That's not his job, he doesn't get paid to do it, and he gains nothing from the help. But he takes the time to do it and that is just a small example of things he does to help out those who buy from him. The build quality cannot be beat on the Sfiligoi's. You get what you pay for. While they are expensive, I have never (personally) heard one person ever complain. You don't have to own a Sfiligoi to have a successful tank by any means. I also have an ATI PM over my frag tank. It's a nice fixture as well but it lacks some of the features that a Sfiligoi has.

If you have any questions about either of the fixtures that I've owned, feel free to pm me anytime. Hope this helps a bit.

I was worried about the fixture because I find many people complaining about the stealth and Sfiligoi's Design.
But I am not sure if it was Aquarium obsessed that caused all problems for the name.

Yeah, AO did not do the Sfiligoi name much justice. It was all about the lack of customer service. Tim has completely changed the way North American sales are handled for Sfiligoi. I don't think the complaints were as much about the fixtures as they were about the ownership of AO. I don't know how much there is to complain about the Stealth design. Active cooling, individual reflectors, multiple ballasts for more lighting flexibility, glass shields, etc. Mine worked beautifully. If you are considering getting a fixture, you would not be disappointed with the Sfiligoi brand. Aquatics Elite is a sponsor here and I'm sure Tim would be happy to discuss options with you.

Couldn't be happier with my xr4 rewired with an m80 ballast. Great looking fixture with a beast reflector with relatively no light spill. It's really a great design IMO. I have minimal shadowing in the corners on my 40" long tank with a single pendant.

I must agree with Graig, so far only positive expirience with Tim.I am going to order new tank and looking for new lighting fixure. Now i have sfiligoi X4 with galaxy balasts .
My choice was either to get Illumina or genesis and after talking with Tim couple of time i am getting genesis!
Tim , if you read this ,I wanna thank you for all great info and pictures!

Since i am big user of Profilux i will definately get profilux modul.this way i can control genesis with profilux. i am looking to get 5 LEds strips with 4 T5s this will include RGBs.My new tank will be 72x36x25 so i might even do 1 or 2 T5s in the center, but not sure about it..

Here is mine top of the line Genesis 560 Hybrid T5 & LEDs fixture! I'm very happy with this fixture "well build, top quality from A to Z"
