Did it come with DI Resin?
looks like tiny, size of sugar, blue and gold balls?
Seems way over complicated, a simple canister added to your RO water is cheap and easy to refill, time after time.

A di canister is just an empty vessel that is packed tightly with di resin so that the flow of water after the membrane can flow down one channel then back up another channel then a hose coming out so can collect and use the hopefully now 0 tds water so aslong as got this and accepts tubing of appropiate size and you put appropriate di resin in then it will do the job

Is there a brand and model number on the box that we (or you) could look up online for more information?

You can’t get zero TDS without resin.
Test it and you will know.
Let 30 minutes of water flow through the 4 stages before checking TDS.

I can easily get zero without di resin for almost a year on a new rodi membrane and 3 stages alone. I run it anyway to further clean the water however, but di isn't required unless you're pumping seriously high tds into the unit. It certainly helps there is no argument there.

Yeah that does look like di resin as di resin is little round beads.

But is that a brand new product with a chip in it ? And chip in the part where it seats one part of the unit to another.if something is not perfect when I buy it,I either want a refund or at very least a discount .
And if can cause a leak/drip on floor or impact on affectiveness of the unit then I don't want it .

I found this on alibaba for you - not sure what it is exactly. https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/no-power-water-purifier-AICKSN-applicable_62354201416.html

UItra-filtration membrane filter
Remove Hazardous Substances like
bacteria and viruses, keeping some useful Minerals in water.

Save yourself a headache and just buy a know 4 or 5 stage from somewhere. BRS has some good prices and I use their filters.
It's a brand that makes all kind of water stuff, would need to know what kind of cartridge specifically op got, but that's hard if there's no markings on it

@charbel101 what specifically does the english text under the chinese characters on the picture of the unit on the box say?

First off, that box says it's for drinking water. That's a filter for attachment to your sink so you can use it to filter your water. At least that's what the box says.
Secondly, if you just took that out of the box and I saw some DI resin on the end of it around the seals, that's used. Definitely not brand new. I would take that crap back in order from BRS the di unit that was mentioned earlier.

What?
You can get 0 TDS water without DI Resin?
I don't believe that.
And then you say you can put a brand new Rodi filter in it and get 0 TDS? That statement makes no sense. There is an RO filter membrane and there is a DI Resin filter. There is no such thing as an rodi filter.
Maybe you can provide a link to it?

A lot depends on the source water... I've had source water measure in the low teens for TDS and in that case a RO alone is enough to get zero. I still use DI filter but the resin lasts a couple of years easily.
