Is that s good salinity checker?

It's a solid device.

My only recommendation is to not shake it or drop it. Really damages the unit and your readings will start being inaccurate.

Is the ma887 milwaukee salinity checker worth it? Im new to the hobby. If someone can help me out.
I have had one for 18 months, and love it - have multiple tanks and so it gets used 4-8 times a week and has never needed a change in calibration !!

Why difficult to use? Dont use just put it in water?
Too long for most aquariums. It comes with a plastic tube you can fill with tank water and then float it in. They are also really fragile.

The ones I’ve seen are German laboratory grade hydrometers and they are at least 16” long. You can float them in a deep tank, but they are hard to read if bobbing around - the plastic tube they come in works better. Also, do a Google search on reading the meniscus of a hydrometer, that is important.
