Is the term "rainbow" being loosely used?

Two years ago I would rarely see a coral description including the word “rainbow†and I knew I was in for a treat. Now it seems like every other coral is a rainbow chalice, rainbow acan, rainbow plate and when I click on the link or picture it’s a let-down 9 out of 10 times.

I always thought a rainbow coral had 7+ colors/shades.

Is this bugging anyone else or do I need to get a life?
you're not alone Steve, its been bugging me for a long time but have just learned to live with it....i don't see how 2 or 3 colors could even be considered a rainbow..then you would just call it bicolor or tricolor...4+ would be more acceptable.

I try not to call anything rainbow unless I see 3+ colors too.
These are considered rainbow to me...
