Is there any eel safe for a 20 gallon

So I was wondering if there is any eel safe in a twenty gallon I like eels but I don't have my heart set on one if not I do have another setup in mind


The chain link eel info I have read ranges in
Tank sizes from 20-200 gallons so what is correct

I would be willing to get a tank at about 35 gallons 40 absolute tops i like the pencil/ Hawaiian dwarf moray are dwarf morays ok with clowns lps and soft corals if I were to use aquarium safe glue to glue my rocks

You're pretty much limited to the golden dwarf in a 20.
A chainlink will need more like a 75 unfortunately.

You could do a snowflake in a 40. Snowflakes fully grown can be as small as 2 feet long all the way up to over 3 feet. If she stayed small you could keep her long term, but there's no way of telling how big or how quickly she would grow.

I like the pencil moray a little more if I went with a 40 I think it might work but then i know I am wanting a reef and I was also wanting a pair of firefish or I could do maroons I would just like some active in the tank other than the eel

Ok (I am going to use the one dollar per gallon sale for when I buy the tank but I didn't include those pices so I used $250 as at base tank and stand price)it's looking to be about$1778 full price for a 40g

So I'm going to do a dwarf golden moray and two clowns in a reef setup

So I don't want to I don't want to pay 110 for two eel snacks so should I try a different type of clown or a different animal all together( if so what )all together I do want the eel in the setup though

Two maroons and the eel should be fine together, if you can get the clowns already paired so they're a little bigger. Baby clowns may become lunch pretty quickly. The maroons are one of the bigger clown species in the hobby.
It depends on the size of the eel too

This type of eel maxes out at about 1 foot

Yep, but are you getting it at 1 foot, or smaller?
If you get a 1 foot eel and 1 inch clowns, they won't last.
If you get a 6 inch eel and 6 inch clowns, you'll be fine.

I wouldn't do a pair of maroons UNLESS you find them paired up already... they can be very aggressive towards each other and other fish. In a 40 gal, I would go with something like: 1 dwarf moray, 1 maroon clown, 3 chromis. Instead of the 3 chromis you could instead go with ~3 ochre cardinals, 1 flameback Angel, ~3 damsels (more aggressive than chromis), or 1 flasher/fairy wrasse. In any case, add the maroon last
