Is there any eel safe for a 20 gallon

So would one dwarf moray one flame back angel and three green cromis in a 40 gallon long

Do you mean court jester goby? If so, I'm betting your moray will eat it... if properly established, your biofilter should have no problem with that stocklist

Yeah that's what I meant I am just having trouble finding something samall but aggressive enough to not get eaten

Some possibilities: Fairy or flasher wrasse, Larger starry blenny, leaf fish, scorpion, pair of clowns, or 1 maroon clown

If I did that stocking I'm worried all the meaty foods would make a mess of the water quality and then the biological filter and aggression are my biggest worrys

As long as you have adequate filtration and nutrient export, you'll be alright. You may want to consider adding a skimmer and refugium to whatever filtration you are planning to keep. Biweekly water changes at 15% will help too.

I was going to do skimming and filtration rates for 50 gallons also I plan on doing about 20% pwc's

It's possible, but that's the same story with almost anything and eels.. feed daily to reduce any possible aggression

Feeding daily will help reduce aggression, but naturally eels will only eat once or twice a week. It's not uncommon for them to go several weeks without eating in the wild.
It's better to stock wisely and keep things as natural as possible than it is to overfeed the tank and have nutrient issues just to keep aggressive fish from being aggressive.
I'd feed twice a week when the fish are new to the tank and adjust your feedings as you go.

I've decided to do a 49 gallon to allow more stocking and the more I look at it the more I like the six line wrasse I think that stocking would be better with
1 moray
3green cromis
1six line wrasse
1 flame back angel
if that stocking is ok I would like that one more then having two predators in my tank to only one

really? Why not? just curious. I say one at my lfs the other day in a s9 biocube...just assumed it was safe..

They need a bit more space than a 20.. most LFS have their livestock in smaller tanks because it's only a temporary home
