Is there one additive that you swear by?

as in... is there one additive that you add to your tank that you swear gives you awesome results?

I'm not talking about Kalk, 2 part, salt, vodka, vinegar water changes, etc. but rather an additive such as in the Zeo/KZ product line, certain brand of aminos, anything that is marketed for reef tanks for overall improvements in growth color

I like Sponge Power for zoa growth I swear it helps

I was thinking of starting to do that but it's reads a little crazy to me I have about 100 gallons total I add about a gallon a day because of evap and put about 1-1/2 Kalk in that gallon for top off should I still do one drop or two drops Adam

I havent used it in a while since my re-cycle but i loved using Brightwells Vitamarin C. Corals and fish were super healthy

Dont think I can name just one, I like Coral Freenzy, Sponge Power and Coral Vitalizer, and have been contemplating starting Lugols for a while.

I'd personally go with two for that volume. IMO Iodine overdosing is fairly overhyped, and I continue my dosing routine despite my iodide & iodate levels reading well above the "recommended" levels. I notice significantly richer coloring in coral and haven't seen any negative effects besides a mild red turf algae outbreak once which may or may not have been related to dosing Lugols excessively.Your saltmix prob has enough to keep your levels where they're supposed to be, but some seem to notice a benefit from going beyond the threshold a bit.

Aquarists are left not knowing exactly how high the iodide and iodate levels can get before becoming problematic. Phytoplankton growth is apparently not inhibited at iodate levels up to 1.3 ppm iodine (iodide, which they made from the iodate was also presumably high).17 These authors concluded “there is little interaction between iodine processing and the metabolic activity of cell growth.†Several species of phytoplankton were shown to be uninhibited by iodide and iodate at greater than 12 ppm, though iodide (but not iodate) began to inhibit one species (C. antiqua) at levels below about 0.13 ppm.18

Coral vigor, Brightwell HUFA & OMEGA 3/6. Brightwell Vitamin-c, Brightwell vitamarin multivitamin, Zoecon, Selcon, Brightwell Garlic power, and Lugols for sure for two reason's it will wipe out GSP and will make Xenias flourish.
