Is these crab good or not

Hi everyone. Is these crab fine for fish or coral still no coral only damsel but they eating somthing from silicone and live rock so advice me please

The picture I posted was of a male and the female emerald crabs have larger claws.

Yes they are, two crab same type and one which is slim dark colors is noisy one always wallking around the tank and disturbing fish eating from live rock, I think I will smash it soon

I would find a new home for it.
Even if it is a emerald crab, I wouldn't keep it.
They will turn on you and go after fish and corals sooner or later.

I agree with getting rid of them. Most LFS will take them on trade though their not worth much. My emerald ate a feather duster I had.

In my opinion, they are safe to have in a tank with a Damsel. Damsel are pretty destructive and disruptive creatures in their own right, and if you are willing to put up with them, I say keep the crab. However, if you add any other inverts (including snails) or corals, expect the crabs to prey on them.

bad crab. i manage a lfs and i see these guys all the time on the live rock we get from the gulf coast. they are opportunistic predators and will not only catch and eat fish but the will also eat all of your snails and hermits, and possibly anything else they can grab a hold of. i refer to them as sand crabs as they will bury in the sand when they feel scared but looks exactly the same. black claws are always a bad sign and them being pointy doesn't help either. emerald crabs are the only crabs that look like that that are good. any other needs to go. most hermits can even be a problem

No crab will ever be a safe bet, even mithrax crabs like emeralds. I feed crabs that look like yours to my mantis shrimp:croc:

They are definatly not flat. Porcelain crabs have flat claws. They sure aren't porcelain crabs.

"Crab Man", a porcelain crab, in our quarantine tank. Never bothers fish or corals.
He's fun to watch crawling over rocks and eating. He almost wave's his claws at us when we feed the fish. lol
Very cool little guy.

I have those in my 100 gallon upstart for over 1 1/2 years now with no problem.

I also got this in my 200 gallon in the basement same with no problem.
I did how ever moved the blue spiny lobster in the basement, he's getting big too fast.
