Found a few of these guys on my glass. I've seen one or two in my tank about a month ago. First time I've seen more than two. It's a light red color. Kind of think planaria?

Looks like one to me. They can take over quickly. You can use a turkey baster or tubing to such them up. A wresse is helpful with this as well. Another option is flat worm Rx.

Yeah I actually have flatworm rx on hand. Should I begin to dose the tank than?

Before you add any chemicals to the tank you might want to get yourself some airline tubing and remove what you can manually first.

I've actually read that arcticle before ha. I took out four total, that's all I can find at the moment. Going to make some water, and put fresh carbon in my basket. Will dose, see if any dead ones float out, and I'll net them and siphon out what I can. Then replace with some clean water.

Nope 100% safe to the tank
I have a huge thread on the use of h2o2 against cyanobacteria and at the same time is a massive irritant to flatworm
i did see a thread on h2o2 but didnt read thru :) ill read it this weekend thanks

It's natural to have a few flatworms in your tank. If you could only find 4, I wouldn't intervene.
Won't they just multiply though? I'd rather get rid of them, and rid the problem, before it becomes one.

I can understand some people wanting to medicate when they become a problem, but to medicate a tank for four? It's not an indiscriminate killer. Yes, I'm one of those that are not "into" medicating my tank, but I don't try to talk people out of it if there's a problem..... I try to talk them out of it if there's NOT a problem. We're talking four..... and that doesn't even look like one of the varieties that turn into an issue. It looks like THIS variety, not these, these or even these. How old is this tank even? Is it a new tank?

My recommendation is remove them when you see them at this point.... not to medicate a tank where you have to strain to find any.

I understand where you're coming from lionfish. To be safe, and just to prevent a possible problem, I'm going to dose tomorrow.

NO TO FLATWORM EXIT! How big is your tank? I highly recommend getting any of the halichoeres wrasse - yellows seem to be the nicest. They're always on the hunt & take care of all the pest. Some recommend sixlines, but say no to that also!
