How should I remove it?Unfortunately it is.
have you put the frag in your tank yet?How shoul
How should I remove it?
Peppermint shrimp will eat themCover it in the hole with some reef epoxy putty.
Do not try to pull it out. You literally want to bury it alive so no eggs or bits escape!
Nope, its still floating in the baghave you put the frag in your tank yet?
This is 50/50. I introduced a few peppermint shrimp into my cube tank about 3 months ago to tackle the aptasia problem and they have maybe ate a few of them but the majority still remain.Peppermint shrimp will eat them
Don't have putty, will super glue work?Cover it in the hole with some reef epoxy putty.

remove the whole plug from the coral and make suer there in no other ones at the base of the coral.Nope, its still floating in the bag
I will give it a shotremove the whole plug from the coral and make suer there in no other ones at the base of the coral.
If there’s a lot of aptasia they usually won’t be able to make a dent in the ones there. If there’s a few throughout the tank it’s not a problem. I’ve got some growing in my overflow, but I leave them there since they’re kinda cool. But my sump/refugium and my DT have been cleaned of them by my two peppermints. This is 50/50. There was 7 total when I introduced them. Mostly small ones and one big one. There was not an overwhelming amount. If there’s a lot of aptasia they usually won’t be able to make a dent in the ones there. If there’s a few throughout the tank it’s not a problem. @Dw79 , when you take your coral out of the water the aptasia is most likely going to retract. Thoroughly search the coral before taking it out of the water. On the spots where the aptasia is found, I’ve heard of another reefer having success with building a “tomb” out of superglue. Sounds funny, but they put their superglue in a circle around the aptasia and then cover the top of the circle to make their “tomb”.
I agree, it’s not. Meh, animals can be so confusing... AptaisiaX if anything I guess. There was 7 total when I introduced them. Mostly small ones and one big one. There was not an overwhelming amount.
