Is this anemone done? :(

Have you been feeding it .. if so .... what ... it might be regurgitating food or something ..? Just a thought
Haven’t fed it, it’s been loving my tank so I didn’t want to change ANYTHING with it. My clown might’ve brought it a tiny piece of table shrimp, but she’s pretty greedy so I don’t think so.

I didn’t realize it was THIS open! Will it adjust to the nitrates, overall, or did you work your nitrates down?

I used BioSpira to get my Nitrates down on a perm basis, I had been battling high nitrates for a long time.

Can you check/test your nitrates? If they have dramatically dropped from the purigen I would take the purigen out.

It wouldn’t hurt checking for ammonia and nitrites to be safe.

Just tested! This is API, which is generally hated, but I’ve had good luck with it. This tank cycled for 8 weeks until all were 0, it was a pain, but I was hoping that by a complete cycle, I would avoid this.

It looks like you might have an ammonia problem. Your results are low but the Prime is going to hide your real number.

Your nitrates look like they have dropped a lot if they were at 50. I would remove the purigen.

Removed Purigen, should I dose more than a single capful of Prime tomorrow? I also do have Biospira on hand, if you suggest that (but not sure if that’ll help with nitrates only or both nitrates and ammonia)

Do you see anything dying that would give off ammonia? Do you have a current ic of your tank? If you add some sea chem Stability that could help. I would check ammonia tomorrow morning and if higher then dose some more Prime.

I had a fatality yesterday morning of an Ick infested clownfish, heartbreakingly. The ich is still in my tank, (I have a QT cycling, it’s just bad timing). I had decided I treasured the anemones over the remaining clownfish, so I decided not to use any medications in the tank. Wow, I actually have seachem’s stability on hand too! Getting better at this.
