Pics aren’t clear enough to tell imo. But based off the drunk vision photos, I’d say no. Looks like your rock is oretty new, no?

It kinda is new, approx 4.2 months old

I’d imagine it is not corraline. Just watch it and make sure it isn’t cyano, that way you’re on top of it before it takes over. Any livestock?

Yes, but 1 thing. It isn’t cyano. I had it, and cyano gets brushed off easily since it’s slimy. I tried to brush it, but it didn’t go off, and I’ve heard that cyano is stony and hard

Take a clear picture. If you can scrape it off with your nail easily it’s not and could be another form of algae. I’ve had coralline grow in a brand new system just depends on what your adding and supplementing.

i havn't taken a good look, as ive only recently noticed

what brand rock did you use? some rocks have those when you buy them. These appeared fairly recently

Most set ups have their plastic parts like wave makers on the outside portions of the tank so you are correct there is probably not direct lighting there but generally enough for coraline to grow.

my only plastic part is from my filter, i have a powerhead, but i need to buy an extension cord
