Is this corraline

Appears to be the beginning of, but I have also seen rock where the pores have that purple in cavities. Good flow and maintained calcium levels will get you coraline. Just takes time.

I may be wrong, but when my rock started to cure the purpleish colored areas would be green at lights out. That was the first stage of the now encrusting corraline. I’ve also read that this is normal, but since every tank is different I couldn’t say for sure. Others have chimed in as well and seems to be the consensus.

Do you see the green spots on the rock? Is this more corraline?
Unless you used live rock and seeded with coraline. You probably won't get noticeable coraline on your rocks till maybe 6 or 8 months. Mine came at 10 months but the plastic around 6 months got covered. I used the bottle stuff.

All tanks are unique in some way. Some get biodiversity quicker then others. Tank stability seems to come easier with tank maturity. I know my numbers have got much more predictable now before I test at my one year mark versus my 4 month mark. Personally, I don't think you have coralline growing on your rocks yet at 4 months but I hope everything turns out exactly like you hope for in your tank.
