Look at the color of the rocks. Have you ever seen blue coralline like that? There's no doubt that coral is very healthy and impressive but not many acro growth tips are electric blue. They are probably whitish just like the actual color of live rock.

Yes, every pic they post has some post processing work done. Some more than others. This is a very healthy coral with great color that might not be AS vivid in real life as you see the in pic. I wouldn't say this coral in real life is drastically different than what you are seeing in the pic but remember that it is a macro shot that has been edited a bit. These shots always look better than they do in real life when you are standing back and taking in the whole coral at once.

They just put a frag up for auction on fb....it doesn't even look like the mother but looks more realistic and still pretty nice.

It is funny to see you state that is how JKR actually looks and the vendor states this is the only one he has ever seen look this way. :) My colony has never looked like the pic. The main body color of mine changes between green and almost white and I get a blue color on the tips and red polyps. It has never looked like the image here but I never did get the amazing coloration from Joey's pics either. The other two people who bought the same coral never had this color and frankly the one at TS doesn't really look this vivid in real life but it is a pretty decent image. Again, these macro shots always make a coral look better than it actually does, and mind you this coral looks great at TS in their display.

heres mine i got 10 months ago, stayed as a blob and after mounting it in about 15 different places, finally blasting it with 500 par and flow, its starting to grow now. And yup theres a couple peoples that look the same if not better then tops shelfs. Ts tips are legit blue, and you only get that with the red polyps as the colony matures, frankly they had to have had that colony for a long while before it started to look that way. Theres a couple of reefers on here that have Unbelievable jkr rainbows, i guess topshelf never seen them yet =)

Here is mine, this is on a 4" plate. It grows super fast and colors up real fast. I prefer the "whitish" look instead of the real green look that TS is getting and the polyps are pretty bright red. I only have a phone to take pics though so this is about as good as it gets. :)

What lighting is this sitting under? I wish mine would grow already lol

Directly under a 250w MH (Phoenix 14k) about 12" from the water line. Once it starts encrusting it takes off. We bought a very large frag and split it three ways, each person getting about a 2" long frag. I chose to lay mine down and let it encrust. Once the plate was encrusted the tips started popping up all over the place. :)

better growth than me... ive had mine the same time

Amazing guys
To be honest it looks little different but still very nice.
Any one would like to share his jkr photo?

Ive had this frag for so long and it did nothing beside get vermetid worms in it ha! The second i remounted it infront of the gyre current, it started to take off

How can you tell how much flow a frag needs? "High flow" doesnt really mean anything. "8 inches directly in front of an MP-40 at setting xyz..." that means something.
