Is this jkr rainbow photoshopped?

I hadn't even realized TS was selling online until recently. I don't go over that way too often but I hit them up last week and I would have to say what they are showing online is a pretty good representation of what you see online (you won't often hear that sort of praise from me). Most of the high end stuff they sell online is all in one big display tank both frags and the mother colonies and many look even better in person. The catch is that tank and the other acro frag tanks when you walk in the store have a crazy amount of blue LED light. Easily the most I have ever seen on any tank, store or otherwise, and blindingly blue. That JKR Rainbow colony pic is probably just washed in blue making the purple look blue in the pic. The mother colonies in that tank look incredible in health, growth and color. I really should have snapped a couple pics but maybe next time. As far as that JKR rainbow I don't recall seeing it. I was more busy eyeballing the foxflame, purple haze and some others.

The only one I'm not sold on is the $200 princess peach. There's talk locally between reefers and shops that its really a red planet that they got to turn all red. I know I looked at some frags at RAP and spotted green on some.

How can you tell how much flow a frag needs? "High flow" doesnt really mean anything. "8 inches directly in front of an MP-40 at setting xyz..." that means something.
its in an area were my fish have trouble swimming lolol i have my maxspect gyre at 50% and its placed right were the gyre current hits my overflow output. So its deffinitly a violent area lol

I can be of some help on the history of the princess peach. I was a local Orlando reefer when it first came in. It's an old piece that top shelf had before their current massive show tank. It was a wild chunk of tabling acro. It was fairly bleached and light pink-orange coloring with little polyp extension at the time. Then as usual it browned out with some pink-orange hues spread through out and stayed that way for many months. It was in their original smaller show tank in the front of the store. I used to bet the guys at Top Shelf that particular coral had a lot of potential IF they gave it more light (just too low in the tank). After they tore that tank down they placed it in their farm tanks. Where it got much better placement and over time it blossomed to what you guys see today. So this acro, the princess peach is a Top Shelf original.
Definitely not a morphed red planet.

Hope this helps.

Here's a bad cell pic of mine, I don't think that pic was that far off. image.jpeg

everything i put in my tank eventually turns green with red polyps

@Vmacisback , indeed that looks pretty similer. Well done.

Can u tell us what lighting and parameters to make it look like urs?

Here is a macro pic of a frag I made, it definitely prefers high light to make all of the colors pop.

Lighting is eight T5 bulbs and an Ecoxotic magenta LED strip.
5 ATI Blue Plus
2 ATI Coral Plus
1 ATI Purple Plus

Top Shelf's JKR Rainbow looks like the pic posted above. I go there about once a week. Their display tank is impressive but they usually cut 1/2-3/4" frags :(

I finally made it to Top Shelf today and the jkr rainbow they have looks like the original posted picture. I took a video and a picture but they look horribly blue.

@bubbaque
Were they running heavy blue light in thier tank ?
We would love to see video !
Thanks

It was some blue light but not super heavy in the blue. After I actually said something to them about how it looks pretty close to the photo they have online they said "you should see it under all blues". They then turned on all blues for me to see it.

They video I took is only a few seconds long and looks horrible, plus makes everything look SUPER blue and is not a good representation at all. I will post it later to show you anyways.

Edit: I tried to upload the video from my phone but get an error saying does not allow that extension. Anyone know how to fix this?

For what it's worth here is a photo. It's directly behind the green piece and to the right of it is their Walt Disney.
