I purchased this light for my soft corals but my fish seem to like my original aquasky light betterHave you looked at Noopsyche K7 V3 140w ?
Yes I agree. Having a hard time getting it to look rightLighting is one of the things where you get what you pay for. While it may be ok for coral, the look won't be appealing and the craftsmanship will be poor quality generally.
I went from the black box led to kessil. I couldn't believe how awful the lights made my tank look before switching. It was like taking off foggy glasses.Yes I agree. Having a hard time getting it to look right
Are they good light? I only have a 60 gallonI went from the black box led to kessil. I couldn't believe how awful the lights made my tank look before switching. It was like taking off foggy glasses.
I absolutely love kessil. They are much more expensive though. If serious about coral growth lighting will be your biggest investment. Have to figure that most of us have 1 coral that costs the same as your current light. What kind of budget do you have for lighting? Are they good light? I only have a 60 gallon
About $200I absolutely love kessil. They are much more expensive though. If serious about coral growth lighting will be your biggest investment. Have to figure that most of us have 1 coral that costs the same as your current light. What kind of budget do you have for lighting?
I would keep your current light and keep saving if it were me. The light you have now just isn't visually appealing but probably grows coral. For 200 you can get a decent light but won't be enough for your tank size. What are the dimensions?About $200
Actually my corals are shrinking upI would keep your current light and keep saving if it were me. The light you have now just isn't visually appealing but probably grows coral. For 200 you can get a decent light but won't be enough for your tank size. What are the dimensions?
Note that this is not 600w light, its 165w just like all black boxes, in reality its a 110w unit.....
WowAlso I'm not familiar with that light. If like other black boxes they can put out EXTREME par values. I have 2 165w over my 90g. I ran them at 20 white, 60 blue. Your light could potentially be twice as strong.
So I could possibly be killing them
