Well your very welcome.. I'm not a pro by any means.. defiantly a @Lionfish Lair subject.. :) but I always just google every detail I can if I do not know the answer and you have some cool unique aliens.. lol heck who knows.. maybe a start to a new beginning of $100 crabs:) putting them in the sump until the pros can help is the way to go so you made the right move.. I'm following along because I'm curious as well..

Just one more little critter left in the main display tank.....hope to catch him as well soon.

Just a little update.....my three little critters are happily roaming the sump and are around 4 inches wide now.....haven't found any item that can identify them til now...hehehehe

Cool! They still look the same?
the markings have changed from greyish to lite brown now....and the red lining around their claws are getting brigther...so fun to look at especially when you see them moving around the rock in the sump

Emerald crabs have pointy feet and blunt claws. I personally witnessed one get ahold of my small yellow tang. It tore a hole in its side before I could get rocks out of the way to get it loose. It died 2 hours later. No more crabs

The crabs in my sump looks like the blue crabs found in the market place though they have a shade of brown....i just hope they won't outgrow the sump otherwise they may end up in the dinner table :D:D:rolleyes:

Oh I bet @Lionfish Lair can ID that! He's pretty gnarly looking for sure

I was still in Canada and missed this.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I don't know anything about crabs. I can ID perhaps 5 and that's it. LOL!
