is this thread sealant reef safe?

Thank you very much! One question... I messed up a glue job (see photo) and I wanted to know if it would pose any issues?

No way I can tell based on a picture... sorry. When I glue PVC fittings together, I make sure both
pieces have a good coating of PVC cement on the mating surfaces. I join the pieces, then give it a twist to ensure a solid bond between the pieces.

I've done that :) I just meant if that residue will pose an issue :)
 
@Water Dog will this excess sealant be an issue? Aswell i think i under tightened would that be an issue? And lastly I got a little sealant on tge barb and a tiny bit inside by accident... will this pose an issue with the animals and things?

With thread sealant, I’m fine with using it right away. For PVC cement, though it cures in 2 hours, I’d still wait 24 hours for it to degas so all the fumes to go away before pushing water through.
 
Bill Wann from Aquarium Enginnering simply uses silicone on threaded fittings. Watch his presentation here, very informative.
