Greetings guys and gals,

I am in search of a very intense yellow sps. I kinda like the Big Bird @ coral revolution, but i figured let me ask the experts- you guys. I am looking for sick color- so hit me with your ideas please and where i can get that yellow sps i so NEED. Yes, this is a need not a want. You see i understand that corals can tell you the general health of your tank water and Yellow is the first step to visually tell if your PO4 and NO3 is low like it should be, so I NEED this. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Besides I already let my wife read that article and she was like cool.....hook, line and sinker ;). So help me out please!!

I know that I've seen yellow acropora humilis before, but it's been a while; they're really rare. Not sure if any vendors have any now...

Yeah I looked at WWC and they had no yellows that were nice. I am searching around now I like the Pink lemonade. and pink Floyd also saw a Pikachu, if that is a real pic and not doctored.

Because it’s true. Have you ever seen a bright yellow sps in the home aquarium? Pikachu and Pink Floyd are as close as it gets, and I wouldn’t really say they are that show stopping, bright canary yellow.

Absolutely I have. The pic I just posted of the RA peach patch Millie is very bright yellow. And I saw that color maintained for months before I bought a piece. JF Beach Bum is another that is stunningly yellow, I know it’s not all the way yellow. Yellow surharsonoi is a beautiful yellow as well that I’ve seen in person. Countless yellow montipora capricornis, TMNT caps. Although I’d say this one is a little on the neon green side.

They are all more a greenish yellow though. Now true canary yellow. Even the pic you show is more green than yellow. I’ve had peach mills and well it’s peach not yellow lol

Just letting the OP know a true canary yellow sps just doesn’t exist.

Honestly, that’s your opinion. A lot of yellows look greenish bc the light spectrum we use. I respect your opinion.

OP, there is a lot of yellows out there. Just keep lookin. :)

From my experience the pink lemonade is nice and yellow once you get it colored up correctly, though I’ve also seen it more on the greenish side. Not sure if that’s attributed to lighting or water conditions. Another that will give you those nice yellows you are looking for is the wwc Kung pao monti, beach bum, or any of the others that are similar. Some are more orange but the two I mentioned in my experience are a nice yellow.

Yellow scroll coral, most true yellow I've seen in a tank. None of my "yellow" acros stand up to it, that's including the pink lemonade, TCK Pikachu, or Pink Floyd. That being said, those 3 acros are the best yellows you'll get in the acro world. More yellow than lime-green in my opinion but not as true yellow as the yellow scroll coral.

Ive seen some banana yellow branching porites come through once in awhile, but they just arent that exciting lol

My pink Floyd is as yellow as yellow can get. There's a thread that compares this and the pikachu... they are exactly the same. The pikachu you likely saw was in an ultra low nutrition system it brings out the colors more.
