Issues with the BRS website

SA.com is an awesome site! I back that!
I like SA but... if you have a warranty problem they tell you "take it up with the manufacturer". I had an issue with an Apex ATK from them and they REFUSED to deal with it. So be careful. Neptune originally told me to send it back to SA and when I told them of SA's reply, Neptune took care of it.
 
I had the same problem. The new website has been full of issues. Switching to the new layout/site just before the holidays was probably not the smartest move.
 
i stop using brs always seem to have a problems with there site or what i need is out of stock . i now use Saltwater Aquarium
 
Only problem I've ever had is that stuff jumps into my cart and shows up at my door too often. ;-)
But I do agree that it should default to the free shipping option whenever that is available.
Perhaps this thread belongs in their vendor forum?
 
Haha. Little bit. As far as shipping goes I know Saltwater Aquarium offers free shipping no matter what. I use them a lot also
I just found this out also, they had the salt that BRS didn’t have.
 
I was going to place an order on BRS as well... would not add it to the cart. I, too, thought it was out of stock. Glitch is going to cost $.

Why would a place that is not making the equipment or providing the warranty deal with it?

Ok say you bought a lawnmower at Home Depot and it was defective - where would you expect warranty/customer service? At HD or Toro China...

I don't shop at SA for this exact reason, had a DOA light from Redsea and they refused to accept the return. I expect them to send me a working product, anything after that I'm fine with dealing directly with manufacturers. I filed an amex claim and then they had no problem accepting the return, go figure.

I'll add I will be an amex and BRS customer for life as long as they continue to provide outstanding customer support. I will gladly pay more if needed for higher standards in how they treat paying customers.

Sounds like it was an issue with their mobile site. Their site is very polished IMO. I never had payment issues, it's a secure (aka has this

) site and I always use a Visa to pay.

NO (comparable) VENDOR comes even CLOSE to BRS in giving back to the community. For this reason alone I buy from them when I can.
 
Anyone else having issues with BRS site. It will not allow me to add anything to the cart. At first I thought the item may be out of
stock but I tried adding multiple items and nothing goes into my cart.

I'm probably being a net nanny and I apologize up front if it sounds as such. However, I was wondering if maybe you could edit the subject line? When I first read or notice it it lead me to believe you are having issues with the vendor. not the actual site :)

I have dealt with both and I have to say brs customer service is 10 times better than SA.. I recently had an issue at SA and emailed them and also message thru website after 2 days they got back to me. I understood there reply back to me but was not happy with it so I replied again and not 1 replay back..

If that was who manufactured and created the warranty? Yes.

Walmart can afford to deal with it because they go thu hundreds of thousands of units, and can likely just return the defective units. Joe Fishstore Owner can't.

BRS phones are down today again on 12/30/21. I have a $10 off coupon that expires 12/31/21, the website isn't recognizing the coupon (wasn't recognizing the coupon yesterday either & the phone message yesterday said their voice mailbox was full). I sent them an e-mail per their phone system earlier today, haven't heard back yet.

$10 bucks off an order isn't the end-all deal, but frustrating ........

BRS customer service is pretty awesome. Won't hurt to explain your situation to them. They might end up just throwing you $10 in points.

I reached out to them for a recent order and just randomly asked if I could get a discount or something and the CS rep gave me $20 in points (although it was a pretty massive order).
 
Are they actually open at the moment? I’m still waiting for the Christmas/end-of-year sale but it’s all very quiet.

I had a problem with a code during the previous sale as it had dropped off their system. They managed to give me a replacement code as there was another promotion running at the time; hopefully they will honor them after the 31st if there are problems, as I still have a few that I am planning to try to use tomorrow.

I'm guessing they are because some of my order were shipped out today.

They're definitely open. I forgot I spoke to someone through their chat today. Keep trying.
