It started with some hermit crabs my kids pulled from a tide pool...

And now, we have a tank, 2 clown fish, 1 of the hermit crabs (apparently he was the one that ate/killed the others because he’s getting HUGE), an Emerald Crab, a Pistol Shrimp (and his buddy they Goby), and 4 different snails my local shop recommended.

Quite the little ecosystem we have. I plan on getting a bigger tank when we move into a new house, but for the rest of the year, this small tank and my little biosphere is what we have. We have an invader/unknown creature I posted about just a few minutes ago in the identify forum so hopefully it’s figured out soon?

Awesome!

I was never able to keep emerald crabs alive when I had a pistol shrimp. One of those pops you hear at night in the tank is likely to be the last thing it feels.

Always wondered what happened to my emerald who disappeared about 3 days after I added my pistol shrimp.
