Items you regret purchasing...

Eheim thermostats. I bought 3 of them in the last 6 months. Each of them were faulty. Not just calibration issues.

Tunze ato. Both the normal and nano gave me issues.

Just return to this post, wow it has grown into three pages. Doesn't surprise me though, what some think is great, others have had nothing but problems. Nothing worse than buying things twice, unless its something that has worn out over years. Everything has a point of failure its programmed into everything in life.

Fluval LED's for 250$. I could have bought two Chinese LED fixtures for that price and grown anything.

Ecoxotic LEDs! Paid $1500. For 2 panorama pros they died 2.5 years later and they don't support them.

im started to regret my 2 MP40's on my 90g. 3 years later and 1 of the pumps dry side needs replacing and for the price i can get 2 JaboeRW15 for less than the price of 1 MP40. i love the settings of the vortech pumps and controllability through my APEX but my LFS has Jaboe's on all their tanks now and the flow is amazing for the price. i used to love how the motor was on the outside of the tank but now it looks like my tank has Dumbo ears hanging off the side! with those big ol motors! that said APEX was my best purchase even with though my ATO and LED both dont run off it, its 100x better then having a bunch of timers. its much more than that.

Any and all brands of hob filters. They never seem to work well, require constant cleaning, wear out in what I consider to be a short period of time.

Just modify to use other filter materials and they work great. Remember if you buy cheap don't complane just learn and buy something better. For price and quality ( Aqueon is not too bad) marinland, Eheim etc.
