It's the only one I know of. Never had any in my tank before. No idea where it came from - haven't added anything to my tank in months.

Thanks.

I'll check LFS tomorrow morning and see what they have. Thank you all.

Have you looked at a tank with aiptasia in it in the past 6 months?
Just looking at a picture of it on the web can cause it to magically appear in a tank.

I bought a high power blue laser and go to town. Takes care of them quickly, no chemicals, and is super fun. They melt away and crackle. Plus it allows me to keep other coral in check if it starts invading territory it isn’t allowed in...

Zoom in on your picture, it looks like 3 more in the rockwork to the left.

How does that work? I assume you have to take the rock out of the tank?

Nope, you just point the laser in the tank at the aiptasia and get it to a pinpoint. I’m not home now but I’ll send info on the laser. Totally worth the investment.

Its real simple- get a syringe from pharmacy and use either lemon juice or kalkwasser mixed with water into a thick solution and squirt into core of the aptasia and watch them melt

Oh, that I can do that in next half hour. Sounds like fun. Watch me becoming a murderer.
Thanks

Stick with the kalkwasser! Those lasers are cool but dangerous
