@Hemmdog @YMAonthisreef
This look correct to you?
Yeah that would do it! And for those that speak of this danger with lasers... I’d much rather have a little burn on my retina than to have to deal with an uncontrollable aiptasia outbreak, it’s called priorities!

I've heard of how dangerous they can be and I won't be getting one because I have crazy kids but I'm not gonna lie, those things look fun

I bought a high power blue laser and go to town. Takes care of them quickly, no chemicals, and is super fun. They melt away and crackle. Plus it allows me to keep other coral in check if it starts invading territory it isn’t allowed in...

Yea the laser is fun but by irritating it you just split it and you'll have dozens more within weeks.

Just an update - killed it [hopefully] with kalk paste. Will know in couple of weeks - there will be either zero or 100 little buggers everywhere. Thanks

I just scrape them off the glass with a razor blade and put them in a jar and watch them grow. If they are on my rock work I glue new coral over them (gives me an excuse to buy more coral).

I have a spare 5 gallon tank - might setup aiptasia tank for my desk at work. :)

Here is mine in little mason jars. You can add some asterina starfish and just feed once a week or so. I am currently restarting them because the got covered in algae.

That was a nice read. Awesome project.
BTW. I found another aiptasia in my sum yesterday so it's possible there are more there and that they hitchhiked with some macro algae I have.
I have this currently at work [just starting] but I do wonder how much work would it be to keep it as salt water tank. With aiptasia. And some hermit crabs :)

Not sure if this is ok to post here or not. I ordered a laser like the Gatling one that has been linked a few times. Don’t remember the website but I never got shipping confirmation and emailed about it many times with no response. so I started a claim with my credit card. I gave supporting evidence to my card company about no tracking and the multiple emails I sent with no responses. Today I got a letter from customs that it was seized. I guess the Chinese company marked it as a detection pen and it was seized due to not meeting fda regulations and exceeded max power limit for laser pointer in its class. It was advertised as 30,000 mw but others just like it are advertised as 3,000 so I’m sure that’s the real power.

Question is do I tell my card company it was seized or just let them to there investigation to try to contact the company

Also is there any way for me to claim it from customs the paper says I can petition it abandon it or pay the true value of it since it was declared as 10$
