It's Just a Tank

So, I really cant win. Wrasses aren't meant for me I guess. Here we go again...

I have just learned to live with it. When you have as many wrasse as I do, it is just part of it lol. One covered up part of my long tent plate and I didnt notice it. It now has a dead spot, so will have to let it heal, but I put the base on 2x flat frag disks glue together and then to it to raise it up some. Now it is harder for sand to get thrown on it.

I'm worried about the torch. They hate it. Spitting on the cyna and trachy does nothing to those 2. Once she starts to spit on the torch, it will lead to big problems.

I may need to raise torch. But trying to prevent light shock

How far off the sand is the torch? I keep mine about 3-4" off the sand and do not have any issues. Even with my decorated goby and watchman goby.

Right above sand. I can raise it by a few inches. I dont like messing with the fickle princesses.

A couple inches should not hurt too much. You can always just raise it up temporary with a piece of egg crate or something and watch it to see how it reacts. If poorly, just remove the stand and drop it back down. Torches react quickly to changes they do not like and stop extending pretty quick, so easy to correct if it does not like a few inches higher in the tank.

Are you running a lot more lamp than Frank was? It's been hardened off in his tank. Personally, I wouldn't have any issue moving it up 6".

This is a frank torch? If so, then that thing can take some more light for sure.

If it is the ones up high on the left side of the tank, then it can take quite a bit of light lol. ( I say up high, but about mid way in a very shallow tank lol)

Par levels on sand bed there are 125.

I was referring to when it was in Franks tank, but with it in 125 par now, it had to be in at least 200 in franks tank. I believe (no par meter, but eye meter and knowing his light setup, 150 is the tank bottom in that tank)

As for torch placement. I wanted it there in that spot due to the level of flow and randomness. Also, to fill in the empty void.
I won't worry about the eel, she'll come out once she is comfortable. Maybe even use the rock as a bit of an extra tunnel.

I'll keep it there. I do love that sponge. No matter the outcome, if i keep sponge alive and growing. I still win!!!

We'll see how she behaves. That other hole went out of his way to spit on coral. I wonder if he was trying to feed them?
