It's Just a Tank

Good morning. I have laryngitis now. I can hardly talk and my husbands laughing at me. :(

I haven't gotten bored of the morning coral.

Inflating, always looks weird.

I always look weird when inflating as well...

Water test says I have low bio load. Anyhow
Dosing 30ml AFR. 10ml morning, afternoon and at night. Things are looking spot on
Calc 450. Mags 1480. Alk 8.4 -9. Messed up a bit. But whatever. Ph 8.15

Bad news phosphates reads low. Turned yellow and not the typical orange.

Nitrates look under 2.

Sg 1.026.

Ph is probably 8.0.

plenty have them with zoas. I got unlucky.
I’ve got more zoas you can try out someday. I’m sure they don’t all taste delicious. Mine have been in high and low nutrient tanks. Not all zoas like the same water quality. I lost a few going from uln to high

Get them up just throw some extra food in. Or if you have reef roids those will get both up for you.

My nitrates read 0 for the longest time. I started dosing for a couple of days. They jumped to 30...

Right. I don't feed my coral really and dissolved nutrients still at the top end of what I'd like to see.
Can I take a peep under the hood? Maybe we can squeeze a ats in there. Got one I don’t use anymore

I have a refugium and skimmer cup is removed. Refugium lights are on 10-12 hours per day. I need to get that on a timer. I love my chaeto, and lost gave me some .... I forget name of algae. It is growing nicely. Getting pics down there is almost as difficult as top downs on the display. I don't like cleaning the fuge glass. Should I?

2 to 3 times feeding per week. Depends how pouty they look.

I stopped the reef roids after getting coral candy. Tank is fed 5+ times. Corals 3 times a week. Piglets... Sps are left alone. The acro hates food particles. I still have ab+ all it seems to do is send phosphates to .1 I wonder if it's still usable?

What did you dose to get it up so quickly?
I was thinking bly dosing about 1ppm per day for a week. Not sure why it jumped so quick.

I think I started dosing and lost a conch about the same time. The snail was probably my spike. The good news was I had no Ammonia or Nitrites.

I wouldn’t clean the glass unless you want to see in. I like to leave the sump alone unless I’m unclogging water ways. So maybe tune the timer down a bit or are you carbon dosing anything?

No carbon dosing. I can see from the top, not much to look at really.

I’ve read that nitrates can take awhile to dose up so I was curious what you used. I might have to dose them if I can’t get them up with feeding more. Phosphates are easier if you have reef roids handy

Powerplant side.

Toying around with the idea of a separate cube fuge here to the left.

I keep PO4 low with gfo, but water changes only go so far with a massive fish load.
